Healthcare Assistant (Band 2)
Join our Medical Nursing Team - Together We Care
Recruitment Event for Band 2 Healthcare Assistants - Medical Division - Saturday 8th July 2017
08.30 - 15.30 Education Centre, Ashford Hospital, London Road, Ashford, Middlesex, TW15 3AA.
The Medical Division is currently recruiting for Health Care Assistants to be based at St Peters Hospital. This is a permanent position (not bank) and you will need to be able to work a full rotation of shifts including long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays, we can offer full or part time hours (at least 22.5 hours per week). Please note we are unable to support set shift patterns or day/night only contracts.
We are also looking for experienced health care assistants who would be interested in joining the medical division flexible rotation roster. This means that you will be a permanent member of staff with a similar roster as someone based on a set ward but the area you work may vary on a day to day basis. You would arrive on site and report to the Clinical Nurse Leader daily who will then allocate you to a ward or department. This is a new opportunity and would mean gaining experience and skills in a variety of different settings such as cardiology, care of the elderly, stroke, medical assessment units and respiratory. Successful candidates will need to be able to adapt to different settings, be able to communicate well, enjoy new challenges and work well within a team as well as being able to use their own initiative. If you are interested in this role, please highlight this on your supporting statement.
If you are a kind, caring and practical person with experience in a role looking after others, then please complete the on line application form via NHS Jobs. We can offer you an excellent Induction Programme, further on the job training with opportunities to develop and progress your career in a supportive environment.
Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to the interview day. All candidates must have applied on line prior to the day. We will be unable to facilitate late applicants or those that just arrive on the day.
Ideally you will have four GCSE passes or equivalent (to include English Language and Mathematics), be able to work with numbers, have excellent communication skills and able to demonstrate that you are honest reliable and trustworthy.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.
From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
