Role synopsis
BP is looking for a system Analyst with excellent collaboration skills, supported with relevant technical and analysis acumen to effectively engage in the support of Applications for the Global Credit Risk Business. The role will focus on the analysis of components that collect data from a multitude of source systems, implementation of complex workflows and advanced data management capabilities. This is a great opportunity to engage with business users to support, understand and clarify requirements and undertake analysis of existing platforms, processes, data and interfaces. The System Analyst will be a key member of the team responsible for analysing and supporting the Credit Risk estate. This role is part of the Global Credit Risk IT team, which is responsible for all Credit Risk technology delivery to the business and systems required to perform their global business function including US and EU regulatory obligations.
Key accountabilities
Responsible for providing reliable and timely support to Credit Risk business in Singapore.
Work with business to understand the issues/ requirements and provide preliminary analysis/ resolutions.
Ability to do independent data and system analysis.
Troubleshoot production support issues or the questions raised by business.
Conduct System testing and assist in user Acceptance testing
Provide support for the End of Day Jobs of Global credit Risk systems in terms of monitoring and resolution.
Document the requirements, issues and processes.
Be a single point of contact for Credit Risk business in Singapore.
Interact and collaborate with local and Global IT&S teams.
Act as a bridge between Credit Risk Business in Singapore and Global Credit Risk IT&S team
Collaborate with Credit Risk IT&S team in other locations, Monitoring team, and Credit risk Architect
Troubleshoot and recommend solutions to support issues as needed.
Demonstrate ability to think and plan strategically.
Essential Education
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Management Information Systems
Essential experience and job requirements
Minimum 8 years of experience in in large-scale enterprise IT environments.
Strong SQL experience: Minimum 6 years with Oracle Or SQL*Server databases with demonstrated proficiency in writing standard SQL, stored procedures (PL/SQL, T-SQL), and query tuning
Proven quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
Self-motivating and ability to work both independently and with others in a widely dispersed, dynamic, team environment.
Excellent communication Skills, time management and organizational skills
Stakeholder engagement Skills
Data Analysis Skills
Good documentation skills and ability to think out of the box.

Desirable criteria & qualifications
Experience in Energy trading area with exposure to Front, Mid, and Back Office solutions.
Experience with any programming language
Experience of working with remote teams
Business Analysis skills
Business Objects or similar reporting experience.

Experience with troubleshooting a wide range of external and in-house written applications. (e.g.; Informatica, Business Objects)
