At easyJet, our significant growth has led to greater support required
across our business from our Legal team, reflecting the increasing
sophistication of our business. Were now looking to recruit a
high-calibre commercially astute Data Protection Officer/Senior Legal
Adviser with strong technical drafting and negotiating skills, to
provide the full range of legal services for easyJet, with a
particular focus on supporting our Information Technology function.

You will be working very closely with senior level stakeholders across
the business, in negotiating and drafting robust and favourable
contracts and providing high quality and commercial legal advice. You
will be highly familiar with IT/technology contracts and negotiations
and will have a real passion for technology and data.

As Data Protection Officer, you will be responsible for easyJets data
protection policies and compliance. Your role will be integral to
easyJets implementation of GDPR requirements and you will have the
opportunity to shape strategy and drive forward projects and
innovations. There will also be an opportunity to work closely with
the Group Head of Legal and Compliance in advising generally on
regulatory matters, litigation, competition law and compliance.

An extremely exciting, high-profile and wide-ranging role, you will
have opportunities to work directly with our CEO, CCO, CTO and Airline
Management Board. This is a rare chance to support the business

organisation., So what would we like to see:

* Highly-intelligent and commercial UK/EU qualified lawyer, with a
strong academic background and experience gained in a leading city
law practice or in-house role in a blue-chip, corporate
environment of similar scale and complexity.

* Knowledge and experience of providing advice on data protection
and privacy

* Strong commercial contracts background, including contract
drafting and negotiation and confident in face to face

* Excellent technical legal skills, ideally to include experience of
aviation law, litigation, competition and regulatory matters, or
at least with a strong interest in developing skills in this area

* Experience of managing relationships with external counsel and
other advisors across Europe

* Strong relationship-building capability, with exceptional
stakeholder-management skills and the personal integrity and
strength of character necessary to influence at the highest
levels, both internally and externally.

* Self-motivated and highly organised with excellent attention to
detail and the tenacity and resilience required to flourish in a
pressurised and constantly-evolving environment.
