Position
We’re looking for the right individual to join our Head Office Technical Claims Management team, in a key Technical Claims Manager role, focusing on our Motor lines of business. Ideally based in our Guildford office, but we may also be able to accommodate working out of one of our Claims Handling Centres.
Using your expertise in technical motor claims handling, you’ll take a lead role in ensuring that the development of our claims handling strategies, best practice processes and overall performance is market leading and truly customer focused.
There will be significant involvement in account management with our customers and agents, and the performance management of various suppliers.
In addition, you’ll directly handle large and complex motor cases, as well as being a referral point for other technical cases across our claims handling centres.
You’ll enhance and build the knowledge of colleagues through the development of our CII accredited claims training programme. You’ll also lead and contribute to corporate wide claims projects, using you’re influencing skills to work effectively across the business to drive through our change initiatives.
There is also scope to be involved in wider corporate and/or global projects and development opportunities within the Allianz group, as well as representing Allianz UK externally, to help develop thought leadership and shape the future market.
Skills & Experience
• Demonstrable technical claims knowledge and skills, within the motor business lines is essential
• Proven ability to handle large and complex motor claims to a high standard is essential
• Exceptionally strong claims handling experience evidenced by a comprehensive track record
• A Proven track record in developing and implementing claims strategies and training materials
• Ability to establish and maintain effective links and liaisons in the market place, playing a full and effective part in market place discussions.
• Educated to a graduate standard, ACII or other equivalent relevant qualifications (if you’re not ACII qualified but are keen to or are currently working towards this, we can offer support to help you achieve this qualification)
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
