into the opportunities of rich and untapped datasets. As a Data
Scientist, youll be tasked with finding opportunities where advanced
analytics can support our operations or enhance our customer
proposition, unlocking those opportunities by designing, creating and
implementing predictive and prescriptive capabilities. Our goal is not
only to support day to day processes, but also to tackle projects
which aim to address specific business questions where a very
analytical mind and the use of advanced methods might be required. The
role will allow you to engage with different parts of the business to
understand where and how improvements can be achieved. Youll also
offer opportunities to educate a growing analyst community within
easyJet. It truly is a great opportunity., What were looking for:

* A logical thinker with a good analytical background, with an MSc
or PhD in a scientific/engineering field (Statistics, Maths,
Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences).

* Proven experience in advanced statistical analysis and in applying
machine learning for specific solutions.

* Experience in using programming languages (Python, R, MATLAB,
Scala, C derivatives, etc.) for statistical and machine learning
analyses. Our default working languages are Python and R.

* Knowledge of ETL processes, SQL experience desirable.

* Experience testing and validating statistical hypotheses.

* Experience in using cloud computing platforms and big data tools
(e.g. Spark) is desirable.

* Experience in Bayesian methods will be considered a plus.

* Ability to work in complex business problems and environments.

* Able to communicate findings to technical and non-technical
audiences.
