To work as an Application Support Analyst within the Application Support team to support Desktop applications within Babcock International Group. To work closely with other parts of Babcock IS and the business units.
This is a role that requires a good mix of technical skills across a range of disciplines, with the key objective to be able to troubleshoot our customer’s problems across a wide range of desktop applications.
Major Tasks and Activities:
To provide ongoing support of all non-core desktop applications.
Day to day support of systems, fault rectification and general adviceguidance.
Managing of upgrades. Review of requirement and ensuring that correct media and licences are obtained for packaging
Following established process with regards to deployment of non-catalogue applications
The role will also include a range of additional standard tasks including:
Reviewing requests for new applications to the Babcock application portfolio
Working with BRM’s for submitting new application requests to the Application Review Board
Hosting application vendor webexes to enable support Babcock applications
User access issues to specific enterprise applications
Any other duties as deemed necessary to achieve team goals
Contribute to review of procedures
Incidents and Works Orders to be answered within SLA
Document procedures that can be followed by other members of the Application Support Team and where appropriate the Service Desk.
No avoidable disruption to system availability unless otherwise agreed with the business
Adherance to corporate and security policies around the introduction of new applications into our application portfolio and also for application upgrades
Qualification and Experience:
Excellent application support skills.
Technical fault finding skills.
Experience of supporting a wide range of business & COTS applications.
Experience of working with the business in understanding requirements or issues.

MOD SC security clearance preferable, but if not, then must still fit the eligibility criteria.
Dependant on the administrative privileges required for this role the job incumbent may have access to controlled technology and or information, such as, but not limited to, ITAR.
