Job Purpose:
Senior member of the BICC Data Management team responsible for facilitating and supporting corporate data quality and standardisation initiatives within Babcock.
Responsible for managing and developing the skills to ensure consistency and accuracy across Babcock’s key data assets both as part of data migration activities, associated with major Babcock programs such as Neptune, but also in steady BAU.
You will be subject matter expert in data standardisation and quality assessment (both in terms of process and tools)
Ensure delivery of key Data Quality KPI’s to your key stake holders to support pro-active management of the quality of Babcock’s data.
Major Tasks and Activities:
Establish and support a Data Quality framework that can be applied to Babcock’s key Data Assets.
Work with Business Data Owners to establish roadmaps and targets to improve the current state of their data’s quality.
Support major data migration programs by establishing processes to be applied to data during migration to maximise quality and consistency once loaded into the target system.
Provide technical/SME expertise (both process and toolset) to major Babcock data migration programs.
Work with the BICC Manager to ensure data quality of products developed by the BICC team are maximised.
Develop TCO/ROI models to be able to quantify to business owners the business case for data quality improvements in their area.
Ensure all relevant documentation is produced to agreed standards for product/services produced.
Ensure all work carried out is either within an agreed SLA or Project sanctioned by the PMO.

Additional accountabilities:
Any other duties as deemed necessary to achieve department goals
Qualification and Experience:
5-10 years of working in Data Management
Extensive experience in Data Migration activities, especially in relation to ERP programs.
Broad knowledge of business functional areas particularly Procurement & Supply Chain, Finance, O&D but also Projects, CRM, MRO & ETO
Technical & Specialist Knowledge
3-5 years’ experience of data quality tools, such a Trillium &/or SAP MDG/BODS.
Extensive experience of managing the creation of work packages to ensure the delivery of data quality solutions to an agreed standard
Proven experience in leading technical teams and senior management to drive and deliver data quality initiatives.
Experience of monitoring data quality performance through KPIs to ensure specified targets are met
Ability to deal with and manage conflict whilst building successful business relationships across a range of stakeholder groups

Security Criteria to be achieved:
MOD SC Security clearance
Other security clearances as contracts demand
Due to the range of data his role will require access to the incumbent will also be subject to rules such as, but not limited to, ONR & ITAR.
