The Port Agency Co-Ordinator is part of the team that has responsibility for BP Shipping’s port agency activity and the delivery of compliant and fit for purpose port agency operations. They support the management the 3rd party organizations that run the hubs who manage the port agency financial processing BP’s behalf, ensuring they are performing in line with the businesses expectations and their contractual terms. They are responsible for the accurate reporting and coding of port agency costs.
Monitor, review, and report upon the performance of the Regional Hub Agent(s) and support the resolution of all operational and commercial issues.
Process estimated and final disbursement accounts, including the validation of costs and cost code allocations.
Check daily financial statements submitted by Regional Hub Agents, consistent with CitiBank and FC&A
Manage monthly and quarterly accounts closedown procedures.
Resolve ad-hoc port agency queries and issues
Support the annual audit process for hub agents and port agents
Analysis of BP’s global in-port spend, approximately $280m per annum
Support investigations into process or compliance breaches relating to port agency operations
Essential experience and job requirements
