We currently have an opportunity to join our Fleet Programmes team at Babcock as an Integrated Business Planner.
The main purpose of this role will be to support the Babcock Clyde Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes through collating management information, illustrating demand and supply profiles and facilitating business decision making by feeding this information into Business Unit and Divisional IBP review forums.
Specific areas of responsibility will include developing and sustaining the business demand schedule for all directorates and departments, collating data sets including Demand and Supply forecasts and associated resourcing plans and facilitating Demand and Supply Reviews with business directorates and departments on a monthly basis. Furthermore the role will be responsible for providing guidance and support to data set owners to ensure a high level of data quality and robustness in underlying planning assumptions.
The anticipated salary for this role will be £33,505 per annum.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate previous experience of working on maintenance projects within multi-disciplinary engineering environments which were supported by subcontracted resources. Knowledge of marine or nuclear engineering activities, ship systems, weapons systems, warship construction, test forms and technical procedures would all be advantageous. Key areas of competency we require will include:
HNC level qualification (or equivalent) in Business Management or other relevant discipline.
Knowledge and experience of business planning.
Knowledge and experience of project management principles and practices.
Strong levels of competence in the analysis and presentation of data.
Highly developed team working and interpersonal skills.
Competent user of business applications including ERP systems such as SAP and IFS.

This role is based at HMNB Clyde, located at Faslane, 6 miles north of Helensburgh in the West of Scotland. We are well placed for commuter links to Glasgow and the wider region, with easy access for car and public transport.
