Palliative Care 8a Matron
We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a senior expert nurse to the role of Matron in Palliative Care based at the world famous Cecily Saunders Institute King's College Hospital Foundation Trust, Camberwell site. The post holder will have the opportunity to provide expert nursing leadership across the team leading and developing practice, to ensure our patients and their families receive the highest standards of care.
The post holder will have managerial responsibilities for the nursing service and other professionals based in the Cecily Saunders Institute and also contribute to the strategic development of the service. We are looking for a strong leader who will role model excellence in palliative / end of life care, spending 60% of their time clinically working independently, alongside the team and with other staff across the Trust.
You will need to have good knowledge of the palliative/ end of life agenda and be highly motivated to improve knowledge and care in this field. The post holder will require excellent communication skills and leadership qualities to drive change across the organisation.
