Background to vacancy/ What is the purpose of the job? What do you need to achieve?
� Support the development of Company�s risk management and security framework and report back on implementation, identifying gaps and vulnerabilities
� Assist in the categorisation of risk across all sites, ensuring responses to identified threats are robust and are communicated across the business.
� Support the implementation of all security protocols and proportionate security technology in all Head Offices, Stores and supply chain to protect people, assets and the brand
� Monitor and measure the effectiveness of security policies, procedures and technology to drive continuous improvement.
� Deliver Risk Assessments and development of mitigation plans
� Build relationships with Business Areas to ensure Security legislation and recognised best practise is incorporated into security plans
� Monitor, measure and improve the operational delivery of security third party contractors to maximise value and mitigate risks.
� Support the delivery of security solutions to protect people and business assets to maintain a safe and secure environment for all colleagues, customers and contractors
� Develop and implement effective means to raise all colleagues� awareness and understanding of safety and security. Promote a security culture across the business
� Deliver relevant, timely and effective Security specialist support across the company
� Be a part of the Crisis Management team
� Ensure confidentiality of Business information is maintained throughout
� Implement goals targets and objectives as set by Head of Corporate Security and report back on performance.
Technical skills/business skills required
Technical Skills
� Able to deliver consistently high service standards through the application of our policies, procedures and protocols.
� Able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of National and Local Government organisations and a good level of understanding of the Police organisation at National and Local levels
� Able to identify key threats to the business and provide proportionate solutions to mitigate risks
� Able to analyse data, use spreadsheets and other software, to measure, monitor and improve operational security deliverables using analytical data to identify key security risks and provide mitigation actions to the business.
� Able to present clearly and succinctly business security risks to senior stakeholders
� Able to deliver relevant, timely and effective Security specialist support across the company
� Expert knowledge of all legislation that affects the security operations of the business
� Able to demonstrate a good knowledge of risk assessment, and apply Risk Management principles across the business
� Able to facilitate training workshops
� Able to support the Crisis Management team
Systems Skills
� Able to use office applications including excel and powerpoint to a good level to create analytical spreadsheet and deliver presentations for multiple audiences
� Ability to manage providers of crime and security reporting systems/applications to ensure integrity of data is maintained, and information produced is relevant.
� Able to demonstrate specialised knowledge of all Security procedures
� Able to prioritise workload and deliver to critical path timings
