We are seeking Consultants in Emergency Medicine for the Acute and Emergency Care Group at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. The posts will be primarily based at University Hospital North Durham (UHND) or based at Darlington Memorial Hospital (DMH).

We are a high performing organisation with a track record of success. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our emergency medical teams.
Applicants must have suitable training in Emergency Medicine and are required to be fully registered with the GMC. A special interest is encouraged. The appointees will join an enthusiastic team of existing Consultants with further expansion planned in the future.
These appointments will facilitate further development of the Emergency Medicine Departments within the Trust, working closely with Acute Medicine colleagues. The successful applicants will participate in the teaching of undergraduate students, foundation and Specialty Trainees in addition to supporting professional development of SAS Doctors and Emergency Nurse Practitioners. The Trust is strongly committed to teaching and training with close affiliation to Newcastle University Medical School and excellent GMC survey scores.
This is a stimulating environment which will provide development opportunities to motivated individuals as we are currently developing a Front of House model. We are a dynamic, enthusiastic and cohesive team who strongly believe in leading by example and encouraging and developing all staff.
The Trust hosts ALS and EPLS and ATLS courses with current Consultants being Course Directors and instructing on all courses.
