Job purpose: Develop and implement HVAC engineering strategy to drive safety and cost efficiencies.
Scope of the role: All of property group and related activities
Key accountabilities and measures:
� Influence the HVAC design process across property group involving HVAC services scope, including controls systems
� Provide HVAC engineering support to ensure existing specifications constantly meet business demands and compliance
� Develop HVAC / Control systems technical solutions to drive optimisation of engineering assets in our UK property estate
� Develop HVAC asset related safety standards and ensure compliance by M & S and our supply base
� Support property group technical specification strategy where required
� Interface with & support New Engineering Technologies research process where required
� Provide HVAC engineering support & direction to the property team for new initiatives and trials
� Provide HVAC leadership to maintenance activities to ensure compliance and best value performance
� Understand the commitment M & S has made to protecting our environment and assist with our Plan A targets
� Be in touch with the latest innovations across the HVAC and related industries
� Recognised mechanical engineering or energy qualification & industry experience
� Understanding & experience of energy reduction techniques / technologies
� Good understanding of engineering elements of retail property development
� Good interpersonal, influencing & persuasive skills
� Demonstrated aptitude for engineering principles.
� Adaptable to a fast paced, complex and ever changing business environment.
� Strong analytical and communication skills are critical
