This is an exciting time for us here at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. We are the largest health organisation in Wales and, as a fully integrated organisation, provide a full range of primary, community, mental health, acute and elective hospital services for a population of almost 700,000 people across six counties of North Wales (Anglesey, Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham), as well as some services to parts of mid Wales. We serve a bi-lingual population and are committed to improving their health and well-being through everything we do.
The Health Board employs around 16,000 staff and has a budget of around 1.1 billion and is responsible for the operation of three district general hospitals (Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor, Ysbyty Glan Clwyd near Rhyl, and Ysbyty Maelor in Wrexham) as well as 22 other acute and community hospitals, and a network of over 90 health centres, clinics, community health team bases and mental health units. It also coordinates the work of 121 GP practices and NHS services provided by North Wales dentists, opticians and pharmacies.
We are undergoing a significant phase of transformation, review and renewal that will position us to achieve our future ambitions as the leading integrated care organisation in Wales. Central to this journey will be the contribution of our workforce who with strong team working skills, will be able to demonstrate the values that are important to us, communicating well with both colleagues and patients, who have the vision and ability to help move our services forward whilst getting the best of each other, treating others with respect and dignity and never compromising on quality.
Work where you want to live, North Wales has something for everyone! Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.
From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
