Job purpose
To drive sales growth in International hospitality. Work with in-country teams to drive operational standards across all hospitality formats. Deliver new store and country launches, from plan sign off and equipment ordering, to in-store training with retail teams. Develop a close working relationship with the UK based International technical team to ensure stores are trading safely and legally.

Key accountabilities and measures
�Work with the International environment and planning team to sign off all new hospitality space, ensuring it meets requirements, including number of covers, seating and operational equipment configuration, and detailed equipment orders
�Ensure consistent formats are delivered within a particular territory in line with the hospitality strategy
�Review menus by territory, ensuring sales opportunities are maximised and ingredients available within store, working in conjunction with the trading teams and technologist
�Work with the local marketing teams to create sales enhancing menu boards and International marketing team to develop POS materials
�Develop Hospitality �formats of the future� to ensure schemes are updated in line with our strategy
�Create a training framework for all formats
�Conduct training in new sites/countries, and deliver �train the trainer� in territories where it�s not feasible to visit often
�Ensure operational policies are up to date, on retail cloud and translated
�Write specifications when products are unique to international.
�Identify opportunities to drive sales and work with local teams to implement these plans e.g. bake plans etc.
�Work with the technical team to highlight ingredient issues/opportunities and implement solutions in store
�Work with franchise partners to update schemes and invest in new equipment where needed
�Provide assistance to country teams in sourcing equipment and finding local alternatives
�Manage the critical path for new and modernised store launches
�Develop operating guidelines and SOPs for new/differing formats
�Engage in-country team on Hospitality operating excellence to ensure feedback is actionable
�Co-ordinate phase change operations in push markets e.g. menu boards, product specifications and translations

�Excellent communicating and influencing skills, both internally and externally
�The ability to build good working relationships with International and UK Hospitality team
�Recent knowledge of hospitality management including an excellent working knowledge of M & S Caf� formats
�Detailed knowledge of the M & S brand and strategy
