Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) will join together to create a new Foundation Trust in October 2017 which will be named Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust; subject to required approvals. Following this, the plan is for North Manchester General Hospital (which is currently part of The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust) to join the new organisation around 12-18 months later.

As a result of this plan, it's such an extremely exciting and challenging period in the delivery of health and social care in Greater Manchester and one that provides a wealth of opportunity. Our new organisation will provide a single hospital service across the city of Manchester and in 12- 18 months will also include the services currently provided by North Manchester General Hospital. These changes will make a real difference to the health outcomes and quality of life for the people of Manchester.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Human Resources Team based at Wythenshawe Hospital, UHSM. Subject to approval from relevant parties, UHSM and Central Manchester Foundation Trust will merge on 1st October 2017 to become the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for a HR practitioner to be involved in supporting the development of new pathways and ways of working across the new Trust.

This post is to cover maternity leave for 12 months.

As the Assistant HR Business Partner you will provide a professional, high quality, proactive and effective HR service to the Scheduled Care Division and designated Corporate Services including Research and Development.

The role will include supporting the HR Business Partners on the planning and implementation of Workforce strategy within designated areas. You will provide input into the workforce planning process and contribute towards service redesign as well as support the delivery of the Divisional Staff Engagement plans. You will also be required, under the guidance of the HR Advisory Service Manager to complete complex employee relations cases on an ad hoc basis.

You will ideally be Graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) (equivalent to post graduate diploma) and have experience of supporting managers through organisational change.
