Background to vacancy/ What is the purpose of the job? What do you need to achieve?
Working as part of the Engineering Team onsite in your role as a First Time Fixer, you will act as the first point of contact for faults to try to resolve the issue and escalate where necessary in line with health and safety standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Your key accountabilities will include:
� Perform Autonomous Maintenance inspections and feedback effectively to ensure potential imminent failures are actioned by engineering team in a timely manner
� Actively monitor areas for potential signs of equipment failure or garment/item congestion and raise the issue to M & S management
� Support a culture of Continuous Improvement by supporting the business in identifying machinery issues, with respect to repeat faults, suspect components/mechanisms. Completing inspection routes to a quality standard
� Drive a culture of Health and Safety leading by example to ensure proactive actions and attitudes at all stages to eliminate the risk of accidents
� As the first point of contact for faults within the engineering department, ensure tasks are complete to a quality standard, SOP�s are strictly adhered to and issues are escalated in a timely manner
� Ensure the machinery is working to an acceptable level by performing Autonomous Maintenance cleaning activities as per standard SOP�s
� Support engagement by effective communication, attendance at briefings & appropriate use of email and feedback
� Operate MEWP�s (working at height)
Technical skills/business skills required
� Reading, writing in English language with the ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions
� Computer literate
� Able to develop effective relationships
� Ability to work independently and as part of a team
� Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
� Confident to work at height
Ideally you will also have:
� Experience of working in an automated or similar environment
� MEWP Certification
� Knowledge of WCS system or other Graphics Interface Systems
